Getting Started: Introduction, Sign Up and Account Activation
This guide is an overview of the steps and instructions needed to help you get your HealthCheck account set up. Here you will learn how and where to download the app, how to set up your account, password, add account information, and how to set your account security passcodes.
Note: Some features shown in this guide may not appear exactly as shown - and in some cases may be deactivated - due to the features and settings for your particular account.
Download the HealthCheck App from the App store. Currently, the app is available for iOS. An Android version of the app is scheduled for a later release.

Once you have downloaded the app, click on the below icon to open the app.
When you open the app, the “WELCOME” screen will appear. You will then be taken to the introduction screen for a first-time login.
When logging into the app for the first time, introduction screens similar to the ones below may appear.
NOTE: These screens may not exactly match your experience: your institution may modify the messaging and images, or turn them off entirely.
After viewing the introduction screens, tap GET STARTED which will take you to the login screen.
Step 1: Setting up your account
Enter the login information that was provided to you in the welcome email: this will include your first-time login password (you will be required to change the password for increased security).
Step 2: Set up your Password
You will be asked to set your password, and agree to the Terms and Conditions. The options to use Biometric log-in and passcode are ON by default during account creation.
Sign Up (Partial Fill)
Sign up button is enabled only once you have created a password that passes validation and the terms and conditions have been accepted.
Tap on Sign Up after adding the required details.

When the button to sign-up is tapped:
The Biometric login is turned on as a valid log-in method
The account is created
The verification code is sent to the given email address. Please enter the code in the screen shown below and tap “CONTINUE” to proceed,
Email address has been successfully verified.
Step 3: Add Account Info
Add the required info and tap CONTINUE to proceed on the next screen. Please note that required fields vary based on companies' settings.
Step 4: Set Up Passcode
To Set up your passcode, you are required to enter a 4-digit code.
Re-enter your passcode.
Passcode Match - If there is a match, the Passcode is accepted. You will be redirected to the home screen shown below.
NOTE: If you have not enabled the Passcode, you will be redirected to the screen shown below after submitting the details on the Account Info screen.
No Passcode Match - If there is no match, you can try again or cancel the Passcode creation process.
Congratulations! You have set up your account and can now begin using the app. It is recommended that you take the Symptom Checker at this time.
Password Reset Criteria
As a User, you need to ensure that you create a secure password. You will be prompted to create a password that meets the following criteria:
12 characters long
Alphanumeric
Must include upper case, lower case, at least one number, and a special character
You will be notified if a password is rejected and why it is being rejected
That is a common password or one that is easy to guess
That does not follow the password criteria
You may not use a password that is similar to those you have used previously
If the conditions mentioned above are not met, the system will notify you upon rejecting a password as to why it is being rejected

Users cannot reuse the same password from before or at least 6 passwords prior,
Users must change more than 60% of the password to be different from any of the 6 prior passwords
The system will check new passwords against a list of known compromised passwords
i.e abcd1234
i.e. Netscape2022!
Even if the password meets the complexity criteria, if it is on a list of compromised passwords, the system will reject the password
