What is a Checker?
If you have been assigned to be a Checker at your institution, congratulations! The Checker is a very important role: you are one of the people who has the responsibility to “Check-in” employees/students.
The first line of defense is the Virtual Consult Questionnaire; the questions that everyone needs to answer about their health. You, the Checker, are the second line of defense; confirming that everyone who comes to work/school has taken the Virtual Consult and are safe to be there. This includes people in the role of a Checker: you are still required to answer the Virtual Consult questions and confirm that you do not have symptoms, just like everyone else.
What does a Checker Do?
A checker uses the same app as everyone else, however there is an additional feature activated for you: Checker Mode. You can get to Checker Mode, either in the navigation on the upper left, or by swiping right on the home screen of the app, once you are logged in.
Step One: Navigate to the People Section, and click “NEW USER”
Step Two: Select Role and Enter Email Address
Select the member role (Use “MEMBER” for an Employee; see Roles for details on other roles).
Step Three: Enter User Information
(Fields shown in red are required)
When information is entered, click the Submit button, which will only be enabled if all required fields are entered and there are no errors on the form.
Note: You cannot change the email address once it is entered, since this is the User ID for login.
Step Four: Review Information
If you wish to change any information, click in the field to be modified, change the information, and click outside of the field. You should receive a message that the field was updated.
