Getting Started: Forgot Password
This guide details the necessary steps and instructions needed if you are experiencing account login issues and/or you need to reset your password if you have forgotten your password or need to recover your password. Step-by-step instructions can be found below.
Note: Some features shown in this guide may not appear exactly as shown - and in some cases may be deactivated - due to the features and settings for your particular account.
Forgot Password
Open the SAFE HealthCheck app by tapping on the icon.
Tap Forgot Password.
Enter your email address into the highlighted space.
Tap CONTINUE.
Fill out the “Change Password” page. Once complete, tap CHANGE PASSWORD.
New Password - Enter a New Password. New passwords must be at least 12 characters in length and contain at least one each of the following:
Lowercase Letter
Uppercase Letter
Number
Special Character (!@#$%^&*)
NOTE: You can tap the “Eye” icon displayed at the end of each field to reveal your Verification code and Password to ensure they are being entered correctly.
A verification code will be sent to your email. Enter the verification code along with a new password. If the code is entered incorrectly, the app will display “Invalid Code”.
If the verification code is entered incorrectly three times, the app will display the message ”Attempt Limit Exceeded”.
Tap CONTINUE to be sent back to the login screen.
Password Reset Criteria
As a User , you need to ensure that you create a secure password. You will be prompted to create a password that meets the following criteria:
12 characters long
Alphanumeric
Must include upper case, lower case, at least one number and special character
You will be notified if a password is rejected and why it is being rejected
That is a common password or one that is easy to guess
That does not follow the password criteria
You may not use a password that is similar to those you have used previously
If the conditions mentioned above are not met, system will notify you upon rejecting a password as to why it is being rejected.

Users cannot reuse the same password from before of at least 6 passwords prior
Users must change more than 60% of the password to be different from any of the 6 prior passwords
System will check new passwords against list of known compromised passwords. For example:
abcd1234
Netscape2022!
Even if the password meets the complexity criteria, if it is on a list of compromised passwords, the system will reject the password
Re-Authentication
When you try to log-in with biometric after a password update, the mobile application will force a password based login for the first time.
Upon first time log in, you will receive a dialogue notification informing you that your account password has been updated and that you need to sign in before other login options are allowed.
You need to enter your login credentials.
Sign in using your login credentials.
From the subsequent login, use whatever method was already set up for the mobile application (biometric will then be allowed again).
Password Reset to Unlock Account
If you’re locked out of your account due to failed attempts, you can unlock using password reset feature.
Lock-out Conditions
As a reference, the conditions that would lock out a user are a predetermined amount of failed logins (3 attempts) using invalid credentials
