Shipping Options when Returning a Test Kit to a Lab
Some at-home tests need to be sent to a lab for processing. For these tests the flow will instruct you on how to drop off your test for shipping.
This guide is an overview of how to return ship a Test Kit within your HealthCheck account. Step-by-step instructions can be found below.
Note: Some features shown in this guide may not appear exactly as shown - and in some cases may be deactivated - due to the features and settings for your particular account.
Depending on the type of kit you are using, there may be a time limit for returning the test after collecting the sample. Be sure to work within those timeframes to ensure that your test is valid.
The specific timeframes for your test will be provided in the app and in the accompanying printed documentation. Depending on the test and your institution, you may have the ability to drop off the test for shipping service. The shipping options will vary based on the test and your institution.
If you are taking the test on the weekend, please note any times/days your shipping company may be closed to avoid any shipping delays.
Returning Test Sample to the Lab
Follow the process shown on this page -Take a Test - Registering a Test Kit - to register a test kit for collecting the test sample.
After following the packaging instructions provided on the app (sample screenshot below), tap the Continue button.
On the next screen, tap the View Drop Off Locations button to view the drop-off locations.
If you are using this feature on the first time, you will be shown the below screen to access your location. If you choose Use My Location, the app will display a list of all the carrrier drop-off locations near your zip code. You can choose Not Right Now, to manually enter a zip code and then view the drop-off locations closer to that.
The list of locations will be displayed as follows: You will be able to view locations for drop off.
Locations for drop off indicate a distance from your location.
Locations are presented with the nearest in distance first.
Locations are shown on the map view.
Location opening and closing times are shown.
The three closest locations are presented in the list view.
You can tap on a location to view the following details the location’s opening and closing hours, it’s address, contact information and it’s distance from your zip code. Once you have identified the desired location, tap the Select Drop Off Location button.
You will see a confirmation screen with the location details, similar to the one shown below. Drop off your test kit at your chosen location within 24 hours.
If enabled by your administrator, you will see a message banner on top of the dashboard and you can tap on that to view the drop-off details.
If enabled by your administrator, you will also receive an SMS Notification, in-app push notification and email as a reminder that the lab is awaiting your test kit. Sample screenshots below:
